A day out to Confident Cascade Resorts!

The Sunday of April 10, 2011, Rajesh, Pushpa, Vishaal, Sanjana, Deepu, Asha, Nisha, Soujanya and myself visited the Confident Cascade Resorts near Bannerghatta National Park and had a wonderful day out.

The outing was thoroughly enjoyed by the kids and highly recommended for anybody wanting to make a quick one day outing without much planning. The higlight of the resort are its 2 Swmiming pools, one of them under the canopy of trees.

Weekend getaway to Confident Cascade Resorts

About the resort:

1. Confident Cascade Resort was well maintained. Good greenery all around.
2. Costs Rs. 450 + taxes per person (Lunch and High-tea).
3. 2 Swimming Pools. Well maintained and is directly under the canopy of a lot of trees. (One specially for Ladies and kids). Swimming costume is mandatory to get into the pool.
4. Showers and Toilets were clean and well maintained
5. Admin Crew members were helpful and polite
6. Lunch was just about okay, no big shakes.
7. Lawns were well maintained.
8. 4 TT tables and 2 Badminton courts (Indoor stadium) were all in good condition. Raquets and TT Balls were avaialble in excess and was of decent quality.
9. Kids Play Park with Swings, See-Saw, and others were not available due to renovation.
10. Playing Tennis was a costly affair:-> Rs. 100 Per person / hour. Racquet and Tennis Ball were provided by Resort.

"Chiguru" - Grihapravesha of our house !

The 23rd and 24th of October, 2007, became a very special day for us as our "House" became a "Home". We performed the Grihapravesha of our Apartment house - "Chiguru".

For the benefit of Non-Kannada folks, "Chiguru" in Kannada means "A bud", signifying "A New beginning".

The evening of 23rd (Tuesday) we performed a lot of homas like 'Gana Homa', 'Vaastu Homa', 'Navagraha Homa' and others. The only homa we could not do was the 'Gende Thimma Homa' because of lack of time... Just kidding :-).

Early on the morning of 24th (Wednesday), we 'Grihapravesh'ed at '6:38 AM'. Satyanarayana Pooja followed, after a few other Homas, Hoo Veelya, Paadapooja and other programs.

For those of you who couldn't make it or haven't been to our house earlier, our apartment flat has a 2 BHK accomodation and is all of 12 squares. We are on the 1st floor of the Apartments, which translates into 2nd floor our 'non-apartmentiers'!.

It's about 5 Kms from our house ('Vinayadeep') in Hanumanthanagar and 2.5 Kms from Soujanya's parents house close to Kamakhya Theatre. The apartment has 20 houses layered in Ground+4 floors. Purely Residential Apartment with no fancy stuff like Gym, Swimming Pool or Club.

Chiguru - Grihapravesha

Again, I thank everybody who blessed us in person / virtually / by long distance / by SMS / by Phone Call / by Emails, inspite of rain god's tantrums, Weekday event and Bangalore Traffic. The function couldn't have been a grand success without your Good wishes and Blessings.

Amma's 60th year Birthday Celebrations

Amma turned 60 on Sunday, October 27th, 2006. We organized a small function and invited a few relatives and friends. For the first time, we got a Strawberry Cake with a Photo of Amma on it!. Yes it was printed on Edible Paper.

After the cake cutting function, we all left to Hotel Athithya where we had a choice of North Indian, South Indian and North Karnataka (Jowar Roti) meals on the menu.

Thanks a lot Everybody, for making this function such a grand success !
